The Eastern Nagaland Students' Federation (ENFSF) has directed all its units holding any designated post in any political entity to resign from the political entity and affiliation at the earliest. This is in accordance with a resolution passed during an emergency meeting last December. The ENFSF wants a separate state carved out of Nagaland's six eastern districts - Mon, Kiphire, Longleng, Tuensang, Shamator, and Noklak. This time, they are calling for a boycott of the polls if the center does not fulfill their demand. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is expected to visit Tuensang in the current month and hold discussions with the people of eastern Nagaland. Shah's visit is yet to be announced.
